Since launching Crankjoy earlier this spring we have been lucky enough to quit our regular jobs, buy a van and hit the road in search of awesome adventures and single track. This time of year, as usual, we are sitting down to reflect on the past 365 days. We are searching through what seems like endless photos for our top 10 trails (which turned into 18) we’ve hit this year. This list was not easy to write, so we will most definitely have to do a followup at the end of the year. The criteria was simple, what trail brought maximal smile and was most memorable. Some trails are just awesome on their own and others are made great by circumstance. You know what I mean. How you’ve come to be there and who you are with. I lead a dual life - as a Canadian Physiotherapist and hyperkinetic outdoors woman. I have pedaled with ambition since 1989. Adventures with my husband Chad, have taken me around the world in the pursuit of photographs, perfect single track and podiums. I am not a superhero but I do aspire to take over the world with my mission: inspire, connect and encourage people to experience this short life to the fullest- with a dirty little grin.
I am also a physical therapist, co-founder and coach with killercoach.com, keeping the world an injury free and healthier place.
We all want to be an amazing mountain biker, it’s why we ride. Your idea of amazing is much different from mine and my neighbour’s too.
