Ottolock Cinch Lock Review

Sleek and packable in design the Ottolock Cinch Lock is a clever piece of engineering made just big, heavy and strong enough to deter a quick grab of your bicycle.  Think of this small investment (compared to your bike) as an insurance policy.  It’s great to have when you need it, but most of the time you forget it’s there.

Lock it up Quick:

Gone is the need for a giant cable lock that is impossible to wind up or one of those U locks that is too heavy and bulky to carry on a ride.  The Ottolock fits a certain niche.  It was made for the cyclist that doesn’t want to add much weight or bulk to their ride but may need to protect their investment for a short time.  This handy little thing is a great deterrent for the scum who find pleasure in pinching others joy.

It’s Super Easy to Carry:

This thing is flexible and malleable enough to roll up and fit into a jersey pocket or fanny pack. It rolls up into about a three-inch diameter circle. Tough enough to not be cut without drawing attention, its steel and kevlar layers were designed to prevent theft from high visibility and short duration stop.  You wouldn’t want to leave your bike locked up all day in the back alley with this thing, but a short coffee stop or a beer at the pub would be a great use.

The ingenious built-in rubber retention strap keeps it tightly coiled.  It comes in 3 lengths (18″, 30″, 60″) and 4 colors (black, orange, green and brown.)  Retail price on this handy lock is a little high at $65 to $85.  You get what you pay for.  This thing is quality made and it should last a lifetime.  This is a crafty product that just makes you feel good to use. It screams, “HEY, I LOVE THIS BIKE, SO DON’T SNATCH IT!”

Quality design and construction:

Coated with rubberized paint that will not scratch a stanchion the Ottolock Cinch Lock screams durable. It doesn’t require a key, that I will lose but a handy 3 digit combo code that you can easily change at will. The dial is super easy to use, even with gloved, sweaty or muddy hands.

Need an extra push to buy one: It’s designed and made in the USA!!

Go ‘Merica!

The lightweight packable design makes this lock great to keep in your riding bag for situations where you unexpectedly need security.  The Ottolock definitely takes the packability to security ratio to the next level.[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
