Swrve was born in 2005 from a need for stylish, durable apparel that is perfect from the office, to the bar, to the great outdoors and beyond. Swrve means understated style, high performance, and durability in every garment. They are thoughtfully designed bicycling clothes. They also make tool rolls, bags, shop aprons and other great items that would make awesome gifts for your cycling friends- hint hint. Swrve reminds us to “live your adventure” which is what Crankjoy is all about.
The clothing line offers wax cotton jackets, wool jackets, sweaters, cycling jeans, shorts and collared jerseys and casual clothes. We were lucky enough to get to test out the cotton/modal polo ($40) and the black label shorts in asphalt ($125). Here’s what we thought.

The quality of fabric was excellent, durable, heavy duty, and built to last. These shorts will and wear extremely well and not show stress around key friction area. They have a nice cut, in the front, without digging into the waistline. The back waist was a little “puckery” and would require a belt for me to really be comfortable. I could also just get more serious about my beer consumption to alleviate this problem. The pocket placement well thought out and has good quality zippers. The inside of the waist band in nice and soft and does not chafe. The reflective belt loops in the back seemed a little high to be seen if wearing a shirt or jacket with good rear coverage, unless you tuck your shirt in, and who does that!?
The shirt was a little on the small side for the size I usually wear, but seems to fit pretty true to size. The fabric was nice and light, soft and stretchy. The sleeve length was perfect and the shirt had some good style and was a great color, but not really what I would grab for a real ride. For what it was designed for, a casual ride shirt that can go from office to bar and outside, it fit the bill.
Swrve products have some great style. This is an awesome company that is providing true cyclists with 365 day a year fashion on and off the bike.
