Trail Spotlight: Noble Canyon

Located less than an hour east of San Diego, the Noble Canyon trail in the Laguna Mountain Recreation area is definitely a SoCal gem.  The trail offers nearly everything we love in a ride including beautiful views, great singletrack, ability incorporate into a large loop and enough technical features to keep us entertained.

There are a few different ways to ride the Noble Canyon trail using other multiple trailheads.  We chose to park at the Pine Creek trailhead and ride up the Indian trail to make a loop.  Our 28 mile ride included some steep climbing (nearly 1500 ft before things leveled out) on the way to the Noble Canyon trail, but it was well worth it!  The 9.7 mile Noble Canyon trail offers an incredible amount of variation including wide open vistas, sweeping meadows, and oak forests with rocky creek crossings.

This would be a great weekend destination as there are several other highly rated trails in the Laguna Mountain Recreation Area of the Cleveland National Forest.  Camping in the area also seems to be plentiful.  For more information, check out Mountain Bike Bills Noble Canyon or MTB Project.[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
