There are probably a 100 reasons to hit up the Wydaho Rendezvous Mountain Bike Festival slated to take place Sept 4-7 in Driggs, Idaho. Beside the fact that we will be there :), here are a few reasons why you should plan to attend.
#1 Support a great non-profit
This is a fundraiser for Teton Valley Trails and Pathways. This non-profit does an awesome job of promoting an off-road trail and pathway connected community. The organization brings together citizens, businesses, and local governments to expand the Valley’s opportunities for outdoor recreation and nature appreciation, while linking communities, providing access to National Forest trails, and promoting healthy mountain lifestyles. YEAH!!!
#2 Ride some awesome trails with new friends
This region offers some of the most scenic single track in the country. At your disposal are miles of alpine single track, IMBA Epic trails, lift access downhill and freeride trails as well as a jump park. The festival registration includes hosted group rides, chairlift access for the 4 days of the festival so you’ll be sure to get a good sampling of what the region has to offer.
#3 Amazing Non-Riding Activities
Grand Targhee offers hiking, climbing wall, disc golf, horseback riding, spa and massage services, yoga and a pool. Yellowstone, Grand Teton National Parks and Jackson Hole are all close by. There is also easy access to standup paddle boarding, fly fishing, golf and a drive-in movie theatre in the valley. You can take part in all the parties, raffles, concerts and clinics.
#4 Incredible Fun for Kids
Kids 7 and under festival passes are FREE, and only $39 for kids 8-14. Family friendly events include Kid’s Strider races and bike shenanigans.
#5 Demo Some Awesome New Bikes
Companies in attendance will include Pivot, Giant, Trek, Rocky Mountain, Santa Cruz, Intense, Breezer and Guerrilla Gravity among others. Why not take advantage of demoing all the new 2016 bikes before everyone else and decide on a new ride for next year.
#6 Get Your Race on
This weekend the Grand Targhee Teton Dirt Classic is on with XC and Super D racing. And NEW for this year the festival will include an adult strider bike race…. why should the kids always have all the fun without pedals? And who said there is no such thing as a free lunch. With basic festival registration you get a free lunch at the awards ceremony during the Grand Targhee Teton Dirt Classic, Super D and XCountry point to point style races.
We will see you there Sept 4-7!!!
