Yeti Mountain Bike Clothes

Yeti Women’s Mountain Bike Clothing Review

Everybody knows that YETI makes awesome bikes, but what you may not know is that they also have some of the best thought out and technical clothing available.  Yeti Mountain Bike Clothes not only look great, but they are designed with the shredder in mind.

We got a sneak peek at the 2018 YETI Women’s clothing in Sedona this fall at the Roam Bike Fest.

Super techy non-stink fabrics, panels on the inside knee of shorts that combat friction from knee pads and flattering cuts and colors are among the positives of the gear we tested.  We might be a little biased, getting to ride Yeti bikes with Yeti gear and our favourite Yeti employee Sarah Rawley made for a pretty magical day in Sedona.

Sara (left) in the Monarch Jersey and Enduro Shorts. Tricia (middle) in the Enduro Jersey with Avery Short and Andi (right) with the Haden Jersey.

Tricia’s Enduro Jersey ($70)

Awesome fit, color, style right off the hanger! The elastic expansion at the mid-forearm area grips without squeezing doesn’t hang up on elbow pads. It has a  perfect 3/4 length of sleeve and good body length plus it looks fast. This medium seemed a bit tight, but it was designed as a “race fit” jersey. This jersey has a wicking fabric and “polygiene anti-microbial odor control treatment” that never washes out.  It’s really nice not to stink- just ask your friends.

Tricia’s Avery Shorts ($80)

These shorts are eye-poppers.  The sublimated pattern is really different and the fabric is really lightweight. Inside are pull tabs that really stay in place when you cinch them. The 12″ inseam is a little short for my liking, if I wear pads I get the dreaded gap! This is pretty common for me and my long femurs, usually opting for capris over shorts when sporting pads. The attention to details like contrasting stitching and “glide patches” so pads don’t get hung up on the hem are thoughtful additions to this 80 dollar short.

There is even a side cargo pocket that fits my phone.

Yeti Mountain Bike Clothes
Great colors and style with the Yeti 2018 Women’s Clothing line, fashion and function that bring your riding up to another level. Andi left, Sara middle, Tricia right.

Andi’s Hayden Jersey ($60)

This jersey is super comfy and lightweight. The stash pocket in the back of the jersey is perfect for ID and a snack, and I’m a big fan of the top flap to ensure that my stuff stays where I put it and not on the side of the trail after I get a little too rowdy on that one loose corner. This jersey is made from the same polygiene anti-microbial anti stink fabric as the enduro jersey, which is a bonus.

Andi’s Norrie Shorts ($95)

LOVE the fit of these. They are baggy but slightly taper to the knee so no worries about getting them caught on anything. The slippery material on the inside of the knee keeps them from bunching up over the knee. Easy and dependable waistband cinch. Whatever material is on the inside is extremely soft and comfortable. These shorts are the perfect mix of lightweight, durability and comfort. The neon coral color is super attractive, especially with the white accents on the zipper and YETI logo.

Not sure what I would put in the back pocket with the velcro closure. Maybe my wallet when wearing the shorts casually, which I would all the time because I love them.

Sara’s Monarch Jersey ($50)

The great lightweight stretch fabric keeps you dry and airy. It’s a great piece that moves with you like a second skin. Hiding inside is a sunglass wipe that really comes in handy when the glasses get fogged or splashed. Plus it looks cool with the blue rainbow graphic.

Sara’s Enduro Shorts ($120)

These shorts are the full package! Light, stretch fabric with just the right amount of give, plus the added stretch panels for when things get really hairy- riding over the rear wheel.  No issues with catching on the saddle, even though the sample size was medium and a little baggy. (Normally wear small shorts.) The length works great with pads with the 12″ inseams.  There is a zip back pocket for a small item if you need the room.

Women’s Enduro Glove ($35)

These are ultra lightweight gloves for those of us that like a minimalist palm with no bunching.  They fit well with good breathability. Easy to get on and off without hassle and yet stay put and feel snug while riding. The suede thumb is super soft on my nose. Just enough added grip for breaking, especially once I start sweating! They feel like a second skin. Not the most durable glove, but it would be hard to get this kind of feel in a more durable glove.

 Ruby Liner Shorts ($60)

These are now my favorite liners! They are not too short and not too long, just the perfect length. Built with a super comfy chamois, light breathable fabric and just the right amount of padding to not make you feel like you are wearing a wet diaper.  The grippers on the legs are grippy by not too GRABBY!

The yoga style waistband offers the perfect tension at the top.
